Barcelona winger, Raphinha reportedly turned down the man of the match award following his impressive display in the El Clasico against Real Madrid on Sunday.
At the Barcelona Olympic Stadium on Sunday, the Catalan team defeated their bitter rivals 4-3 thanks to two outstanding goals from the Brazilian left winger.
After persistently pushing and grabbing the ball from his Real Madrid opponent Lucas Vazquez, the former Leeds United player scored his second goal.
According to The Metro, Raphinha was adamant that he didn’t deserve to be crowned the best player on the field and could have had more time to reflect.

In a post-match interview, the 28-year-old criticized his own play after missing a sitter at one point.
“I didn’t play well today,’ Raphinha said after Barcelona moved one step closer to clinching the La Liga title.
“I don’t deserve the Man of the Match award, I would have given it to someone else.”
With 34 goals and 25 assists in 54 appearances in all competitions this season, Raphinha has been in outstanding form for Barcelona.
Last month, he assisted the Spanish giants in winning the Copa del Rey trophy as Hansi Flick’s team defeated Los Blancos in the final match.
With the league leaders seven points ahead, Barcelona are also getting closer to winning the Spanish top division after another El Clasico victory on Sunday.
After watching his side rally from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Madrid, Flick declared he was going to have his heart checked.
“I am going to have to check my heart,’ Flick said. ‘It would be easy to say that the tactic is to score four if they score three.”
