Barcelona Risks Paying €10 Million Instead Of €4 Million For The Mallorca Jewel If They Procrastinate

Barcelona is once again showing serious interest in Marc Domenech, Mallorca’s rising star, according to SPORT.

The youthful striker, who is already making headlines with his exploits, might cost the Catalan club roughly €4 million if they decide to transfer now.

However, that fee is likely to rise in the near future, putting pressure on Barça to act quickly.

Domenech’s stock is growing.

It must be recalled that Barcelona had already made an attempt to sign Domenech last summer. Mallorca wanted €1.5 million at the time, but the transaction fell through despite Barça offering more than half a million in extras.

That hesitation could cost them now. The 18-year-old has continued to mature, displaying genuine promise both physically and in front of goal. He has also earned minutes with Mallorca’s senior team, indicating that he’s ready for the next stage.

A recent representational shift has added to the mix. Domenech has signed with renowned agency Pini Zahavi, who has close relations to Barcelona.

Zahavi represents huge names like as Robert Lewandowski and Hansi Flick, which might make negotiations easier for the Catalans, but only if they act quickly.

Clause is negotiable, but only for now.
Right now, Domenech’s release clause sits at €4 million, and while it is apparently flexible, that won’t last forever.

His present contract is structured progressively: he makes only €33,000 per year as a youth player, but if he completes the third year of his five-year term, he will be promoted to a professional contract.

This will include a huge increase in his annual salary to €300,000 and an increase in his release clause to €10 million. That provides Barcelona a small window to sign the striker without overpaying.

Domenech, regarded as one of the greatest young talents in the Mallorca academy, possesses all of the qualities that Barça seeks, but whether the Blaugrana make a move for him is unknown.
