With the November international break over, Barcelona will resume their season this weekend against Athletic Club at Camp Nou.
Barcelona will play at the legendary stadium for the first time in two and a half years.
Lamine Yamal, who teased on social media about ushering in a new era at Camp Nou, was the subject of much anticipation leading up to this game.
However, it is unlikely that Yamal will be allowed to start against Athletic Club this weekend, according to Barcelona’s preference for one over the other.
Barcelona wants Yamal for the Chelsea match.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona’s goal is to get Yamal back to full condition ahead of their Champions League match against Chelsea next week.
According to the report, the kid partially trained with the group yesterday, and Barcelona’s top objective is to guarantee the player’s groin issue is relieved.

While Barcelona is not ruling out Yamal playing a few minutes against Athletic Club, their main goal is to have him available for the Chelsea match.
This is not surprising given Barcelona’s fragile position in the UCL, having won only two of their first four games this season.
If the Catalans fail to win against Chelsea, it will be a big setback for their ambitions of qualifying in the top eight and advancing directly to the Round of 16.
Barcelona finished second in the league stage last season. In comparison, the club is presently ranked 11th, trailing Galatasaray and Tottenham Hotspur.
Yamal’s presence, therefore, may prove important as Barcelona attempt to progress up the UCL table.
