According to Spanish source Marca, Barcelona has started planning for life after Robert Lewandowski by contacting Dušan Vlahović about a prospective move.
According to the source, Barcelona is preparing to recruit the Juventus striker as a free agent in the summer or, if circumstances allow, by arranging a cut-price deal in the January transfer window under “very advantageous conditions”.
At 25, Vlahović is the long-term solution Barcelona’s sporting department has been looking for.
While Lewandowski continues to score key goals, the Polish striker is now 37, and the club understands that his minutes must be carefully handled.
Barcelona requires a younger striker to spearhead the attack.
With fixture congestion increasing and Barcelona contending on numerous fronts, the requirement for a younger, physically dominant centre-forward has grown critical.

Vlahović’s situation in Turin has made him a more appealing commercial possibility.
Despite his high-profile status, contract talks with Juventus have stalled, and the Italian club is scared of losing a valuable asset for nothing.
Several European powerhouses have been alerted to the uncertainty, but Barcelona is eager to get a jump on the competition.
This season, the attacker has six goals in 17 games for the Italian club.
Vlahović differs from Lewandowski in that he is powerful, aggressive in the box, strong in aerial duels, and can lead the line in a fast-paced system.
