However, claims linking Barcelona with Liverpool’s Luis Diaz have generated a lot of interest.
Even if many fans would like to see the Colombian star join the club, Barcelona is unlikely to pursue him if they secure Nico.
However, there is still some anxiety because Athletic Club is not making things easy for Barça with the Nico transaction. If anything unforeseen happens and the deal falls through, Barcelona may turn to Diaz as a backup plan.

Earlier this summer, Barcelona explored signing Diaz to bolster their left-sided assault. His talent and versatility made him an ideal fit for Barça’s style of play under Hansi Flick.
However, Liverpool’s exorbitant asking price and the potential to sign Nico altered everything. Barcelona is now completely focused on completing the Nico deal.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich, which missed out on Nico, has turned its attention to Diaz. They are currently favourites to sign the Colombian should he leave Liverpool.
