Barcelona Identify Serie A Forward As Lewandowski Replacement

Barcelona are reportedly eyeing a move for Juventus striker, Dusan Vlahovic as a possible replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

Similar to Lewandowski, Vlahovic’s existing contract is coming to an end, and despite his strong start to the 2025–26 season, Tuttosport says that he is still expected to depart Juventus for free at the end of the current campaign.

With only a year left on his contract, Vlahovic was anticipated to depart Juventus during the summer transfer window after having a difficult season both individually and collectively in 2024–25.

However, he chose to remain on board, and he is currently in the last 12 months of his contract.

The 25-year-old has already scored four goals in eight appearances between Serie A and the Champions League so far this season with just two of those games being starts, averaging one goal per 63 minutes.

According to Tuttosport, Barcelona are contemplating a free transfer for the Serbia international to take Lewandowski’s place, who may be free to depart when his contract expires.

The report claims that Vlahovic’s agent Darko Ristic was contacted by Deco, Barcelona’s sporting director, during the summer and may follow up with additional discussions.

Vlahovic is reportedly one of “two or three” strikers that Barcelona are presently considering.

There are rumors that Bayern Munich are also interested, although that would probably be as a backup or to compete with Harry Kane, the captain of the England national team.
