After spending the 2023/24 season on loan, Ansu returned to Barça last summer in the hopes of earning a place in Hansi Flick’s squad.
However, despite the Blaugrana winning the domestic treble, the 22-year-old attacker struggled with fitness, a lack of form, and intense competition for chances. Reported on social media.
After refusing to leave the club in January, Ansu accepted that moving on was the best option for him, and he had his sights set on a move to Monaco, thanks to manager Adi Hutter’s believe in him.
Negotiations between the two teams took considerable time since reaching an agreement on wage distribution, future purchase option, and repurchase clause was not easy.
However, everything was finished last week, and Ansu flew to Monaco for his medical, after which an official statement was made.
The La Masia gem, once seen as Barcelona’s future, will look to get his career back on track in Ligue 1.
