Barcelona Announce Camp Nou Will Host Champions League Clash With Frankfurt

Barcelona have reportedly confirmed that their next week’s Champions League clash with Eintracht Frankfurt is going to be played at the Camp Nou after receiving the green light from UEFA.

In addition to playing their remaining Champions League games at the stadium, the Catalans will return to their renowned home on Saturday when they play Athletic Club in La Liga.

Official Statement From The Club

The club made the announcement via their official website: “FC Barcelona announces that the sixth match of the Champions League league phase, scheduled for Tuesday, December 9 at 9:00 p.m., against Eintracht Frankfurt, will be played at the Spotify Camp Nou.

“This decision comes after obtaining the first occupancy license for Phase 1B, which allows for an increased capacity and includes the entire Lateral area, adding to the already granted license for Phase 1A — covering the Main Stand and South Goal — and takes effect after UEFA accepted the request, considering that all necessary requirements have been met.

In the coming days, the Club will provide information regarding ticket sales for the match. We remind all members who have purchased the 2025/26 Season Pass that this match is already included.

“As previously communicated, last October the Club introduced a single Pass, valid until the end of the season, which has granted access to the Spotify Camp Nou and entitles holders to attend all official matches of the men’s first team played at the Spotify Camp Nou from Matchday 13 of LaLiga (November 22, 2025) onwards, including LaLiga EA Sports, Copa del Rey, and UEFA Champions League fixtures.

“FC Barcelona is pleased to be able to compete again at its stadium and to continue advancing in the comprehensive transformation project of the new Spotify Camp Nou.”

With seven points from their first four games in the competition, Barcelona will approach the game in 11th place in the rankings.
