Unai Emery managed to take Aston Villa into this season’s Champions League and the Villa Park club had a strong run through to the knockout rounds.

However, Villa may not make it to the Champions League next season because they are presently fighting for a spot in the Premier League.
They only have one more game to go, and they have no control over their hopes of finishing in the top five.
Aston Villa now faces an additional concern as Spanish journalist Eduardo Burgos claims that goalie Emi Martinez “will leave” if they fail to qualify.
There are a lot of people that are interested in him, including Chelsea, Manchester United, and even Atletico Madrid.
Saudi Arabia is interested in Martinez, and joining the Saudi Pro League would be a profitable move for the goalie.
He wants to remain in Europe, though, and has “already rejected” offers to relocate to Saudi Arabia.
Martinez is being courted by Galatasaray to join, although Aston Villa would prefer not to lose him, reports Inside Futbol.
Martinez turns 33 in early September and doesn’t seem to be interested in playing in a season without the Champions League.
