The 27-year-old joined the squad in Singapore after his unveiling and watched their pre-season win over Newcastle from the stands.

Gyokeres participated in the final training session before Arsenal’s flight to Hong Kong for Thursday’s friendly against Tottenham.

There’s a chance he could make his debut, though fitness concerns may delay his first appearance in red and white.

Manager Mikel Arteta revealed Gyokeres has not trained since Sporting’s final match of last season due to the transfer delay.

Despite that, Arteta is eager to integrate the striker quickly and will rely on medical staff to assess his match readiness.

“He hasn’t had a session since Sporting’s title win,” Arteta said, “but everything looks good and we’ll evaluate his fitness.”

The coaching staff want him involved as soon as possible, balancing urgency with ensuring he’s physically ready for top performance.

Meanwhile, new signing Cristhian Mosquera also trained, though Arsenal are expected to ease him into first-team activities, reports Standard.

Arteta emphasized the need to manage his workload carefully due to high demands and limited recent training exposure.
