Arsenal Youngster Signs Second New Contract In 12 Months And Will Link Up With First Team

Arsenal goalkeeper Alexei Rojas has signed a new contract with the club.

The 19-year-old only signed his first professional contract last summer, but has now agreed on new terms that will extend until June 2026.

Rojas has been with Arsenal since the age of 13 and has played consistently for their younger levels.

The teenager is expected to work with the first squad next season, as Arsenal frequently uses four goalkeepers in training.

Rojas has got some experience with it this season, participating in practices alongside David Raya, Neto, and fellow youngster Tommy Setford.

Arsenal now has numerous strong young goalkeepers on its roster, notably Rojas and Setford, with Jack Porter and Lucas Nygaard also highly regarded.

Rojas has yet to make his professional Arsenal debut, but he has appeared on the bench for the first team and was part of last summer’s pre-season tour to the United States. Reported By Standard Nerws.

The 19-year-old was born in Basildon but is eligible to represent Colombia through his father, having played for them at the youth level.

Rojas most recently competed for Colombia’s Under-20 squad at the 2025 South American U20 Championship, where he helped the team finish third.

Away from sports, the goalkeeper is enthusiastic about sustainability, and last year he spoke at Reclaim, a unique weekend organized by the Eden Project that focused on mental health and planetary wellbeing.
