Arsenal Table €70M Transfer Bid For Gyokeres

Arsenal have reportedly tabled an official bid of €70 million for Sporting Lisbon forward, Viktor Gyokeres ahead of the summer transfer window.

For most of the 2024–25 season, the Gunners were heavily linked with a move for Sporting CP goal machine Gyokeres. The club are currently moving quickly to finalize the deal.

Some of the club’s directors reportedly met Hasan Cetinkaya, Gyokeres’ agent, after the Arsenal Women’s team defeated Barcelona in the Champions League last weekend in Lisbon, according to Correio da Manha as reported by Goal.

Arsenal have made a bid of €70 million (£58 million/$79.5) plus a target-based fee, the report continues. If Gyokeres agrees to join the Gunners, he will receive a €12 million signing bonus in addition to €7 million in wages annually.

Frederico Varandas, the president of Sporting, will now hear the details of the offer from Cetinkaya.

Although Manchester United and Bayern Munich have also expressed interest in the Swedish forward, Arsenal are currently the clear favorites to land him.

With a performance evaluation at the conclusion of the season planned, manager Mikel Arteta plans to engage with his support team to create a road map for success next season.

Additionally, according to the Spaniard, one of the most important things Arsenal need to do this summer is recruit.

It remains to be seen if the deal will convince the management of Sporting enough to allow the Sweden international make the move back to England.
