Arsenal Suffer Title Shock As Man City Finalize £62.5 Million Antoine Semenyo Deal

Arsenal’s Premier League title chances were dealt a major setback when Manchester City announced the signing of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth.

Semenyo, 26, has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract at the Etihad Stadium, giving Pep Guardiola’s team a significant boost in their chase of a fifth Premier League title in six years.

This season, the Ghana international has been in blazing form, scoring ten goals and assisting three times in 21 Bournemouth appearances. He scored the winner in his penultimate outing for the Cherries, a last-gasp 3-2 victory over Tottenham on Wednesday, before completing his move to City.

Semenyo stated when the transfer was completed, “I am overjoyed to have joined Manchester City.” Reported by daily star.

“I’ve watched City throughout the last decade under Pep Guardiola, and they’ve been the best team in the Premier League while also winning the Champions League, FA Cup, and League Cup.

“They have set the highest standards, and it is a club with world-class players, world-class facilities, and one of the greatest managers ever, Pep. I have so much room for progress, so joining this club at this juncture of my career is ideal for me. It is a true privilege to be here.

“I am confident that my best football is still ahead of me. And City is in a strong situation, still competing in four competitions. I believe I can assist them have a strong second half of the season. The Etihad is my new home. I’m excited to play in front of the supporters here, and I aim to demonstrate my abilities.”

Semenyo is available for City’s FA Cup game at home against Exeter City on Saturday, their Carabao Cup trip to Newcastle United.
