Arsenal Suffer Huge Injury Blow As Star Set To Be Out For Two Months

Noni Madueke is reportedly set for a spell on the sidelines in a huge blow to Arsenal.

Due to a knee injury, Madueke, 23, was substituted for Bukayo Saka at halftime in their Premier League match against Manchester City on Sunday afternoon. Arteta revealed after the game that he had begun to feel uneasy early on.

According to The Athletic as reported by the Daily Star, the England international will now be sidelined for nearly two months. It’s the most recent in a string of injuries that have beset Mikel Arteta’s attacking line.

After undergoing surgery in August to address a knee problem, Kai Havertz is also presently undergoing treatment.

Gabriel Jesus has not yet returned from tearing his ACL in January which made the Gunners to search for a new No. 9 during the summer transfer window.

Martin Odegaard, who battled a shoulder injury in the first few weeks of the season, is also out for the Gunners.

Saka, who has been recovering from an injury, had been covered by Madueke, who joined from Chelsea for £48.5 million in the summer.

After three years of finishing second, twice to City and once to Liverpool, Arsenal had to bring in Madueke with the extra squad depth as they aim to top the table.

The Gunners are yet to defeat either of their main title contenders this season after narrowly defeating Manchester United, they lost all three points to Liverpool and salvaged a draw against City in injury time.

But they’ve swept past Leeds and Nottingham Forest.

Arsenal are now preparing for a pivotal stretch of their season as they attempt to overcome their City disappointment with a match against Newcastle at St. James’ Park.
