Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign striker Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting for €63.5m, with add-ons still being negotiated.

The deal could eventually rise to €80m, with Arsenal offering €15m in performance-based bonuses to complete the full package.
Gyökeres missed his deadline to report for Sporting’s pre-season, prompting the club to consider disciplinary action against the Sweden international.
Sporting president Frederico Varandas warned Gyökeres would face a fine unless his absence was justified by medical or family grounds.
Despite the standoff, both Arsenal and Sporting are confident a full agreement will be finalized in the coming days.
Notably, agents involved in the deal will forgo their usual commission, allowing Sporting to retain more upfront from the transfer.
Sporting initially demanded €70m under normal terms, which would’ve netted them less due to agent fees and third-party deductions, reports Irish Examiner.
Gyökeres scored 54 goals in 52 games last season and has made clear his intention to join Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal project.
Arsenal are also pursuing Christian Mosquera, after an initial £14m bid was rejected, and closing in on Noni Madueke for £52m.
To balance finances, Leandro Trossard could be sold, with Bayern Munich and Saudi clubs showing interest in the Belgian forward.
