Arsenal and Marseille are reportedly discussing a possible loan agreement for Ethan Nwaneri.
The player is keen for a chance to earn more playing time this season, although it is believed that the situation is still uncertain.
Although Arsenal would get a loan fee for the deal, the temporary move would not include a buy option.
Nwaneri is believed to be heading to Milan with the team for Arsenal’s Champions League match at the San Siro against Inter Milan.

Arteta will speak to the media after the game where he can be asked more questions on the 18-year-old’s future. Throughout January, a number of English and foreign clubs expressed interest.
According to Football London, the club turned down a West Ham offer earlier in the winter transfer window.
Less than three weeks ago, Mikel Arteta was asked if Nwaneri might leave on loan. He left Nwaneri’s possible future up to speculation, in contrast to Gabriel Jesus, whom he absolutely ruled out departing.
“That every player is important,” he said. “Every player has a role, that role can change throughout the season for different reasons, and everybody has to be ready to play. That’s it.”
