Arsenal drew 2-2 with PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday to seal a 9-3 aggregate victory and advance to the Champions League quarterfinals against holders Real Madrid. The Gunners thrashed the Dutch champions 7-1 in the Netherlands last week, making the return leg at the Emirates a formality. Arsenal, who made seven changes from Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United, got off to a strong start, with Oleksandr Zinchenko scoring in the sixth minute. Croatian veteran Ivan Perisic equalized for PSV with a wonderful goal past the scrambling David Raya, but Arsenal took the lead again via midfielder Declan Rice.
PSV, looking to reclaim their honor after last week’s humiliation, equalised with 20 minutes remaining thanks to a well-taken goal from Couhaib Driouech. Reported By Sport Ndtv.
Arsenal, who have never won a European title, will face 15-time winners Real Madrid in the final eight after Carlo Ancelotti’s team defeated Atletico Madrid on penalties after a 2-2 draw on aggregate.
The two teams have only met twice before, with Arsenal winning 1-0 on aggregate in the round of 16 in 2005/06.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said the club should be proud of reaching back-to-back quarterfinals for the first time since 2010, when Arsene Wenger was the manager.
“That tells you the difficulty of it,” replied the Spaniard. “We must cherish that and acknowledge that it is really tough to achieve.
“We’ve done it consistently and now we want to make the next step, which is going to be really difficult, but we are very capable of that.”
Arteta’s side, whose Premier League campaign has stalled in recent weeks, were early in command in the second leg against PSV on Wednesday.
Raheem Sterling collected the ball on the right side of the Arsenal attack and found his old Manchester City teammate Zinchenko, who slid across the 18-yard box before firing a fantastic left-footed shot past Walter Benitez.
