Arsenal Make Bid For Premier League Star To Signal Partey’s End

Arsenal have reportedly made a bid of £9.3million to sign Brentford midfielder, Christian Norgaard this summer transfer window.

After Jorginho left on a free transfer to Flamengo, the Gunners are looking to strengthen their midfield.

Thomas Partey, meanwhile, is only a week away from being a free agent after failing to reach an agreement on a new contract at the Emirates.

In a statement, Arsenal acknowledged that negotiations to prolong the 32-year-old’s tenure were underway.

Numerous sources are informed, however, that he is negotiating with Barcelona as well.

The Ghanaian’s five-year stint in north London appears to be coming to an end.

According to talkSPORT, Arsenal have formally proposed to sign Norgaard, and the Bees are considering the move, suggesting that they are getting ready for his exit.

Since moving from Fiorentina to Brentford in 2019, Norgaard has been a vital member of the team.

The 31-year-old is probably going to be deployed as a backup if he joins Arsenal.

The reason for this is that the Premier League title contenders have already reached an agreement to purchase Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad.

The Spaniard is expected to start as the team’s holding midfielder, with Declan Rice and captain Martin Odegaard occupying the free-roaming No. 8 spots.

Since former manager Thomas Frank left for Tottenham this summer, Norgaard’s future has been in doubt.

Additionally, talkSPORT claims that Spurs are considering a reunion with the 35-cap Denmark international.

However, in the competition to get the former Brondby star, Arsenal have taken the lead.
