Arsenal Make £70 Million Bid To Sign Real Madrid Forward Rodrygo in 2026

Arsenal are in pole position to win the Premier League this season, but they have not ruled out rebuilding their squad with additional talent in a variety of positions, particularly with Mikel Arteta chasing the club’s first Champions League championship.

According to Football 365, Arsenal are interested in signing Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo Goes and have already bid £70 million for the Brazilian international, including £18 million in add-ons.

Rodrygo has played fewer than 400 minutes for Los Blancos this season and is ranked low in Xabi Alonso’s hierarchy. The Madrid manager is willing to let go of the 24-year-old in January, with Arsenal also interested in signing him during the winter.

With the FIFA World Cup approaching next summer, Rodrygo risks losing his place in Carlo Ancelotti’s team if he is not performing at his peak, therefore it would not be surprising to see him leave his club for more regular minutes shortly.

Rodrygo’s signing is becoming increasingly possible.

Given that Real Madrid will compete in three competitions beginning in January, including the Copa del Rey, Rodrygo Goes’ departure midway through the campaign appeared impossible a few months ago.

However, his lack of playing time for the club, as well as Xabi Alonso’s willingness to let him go in January, may change the equation, and Arsenal’s £70 million offer may be enough to convince Real Madrid to let the two-time Champions League winner leave.

Mikel Arteta would be bolstered by Rodrygo Goes’ acquisition, with the player’s extensive experience, particularly on the continental arena, expected to serve him well at Arsenal, whose next key goal is to win the European Cup.
