Arsenal are reportedly at the forefront in the race to sign Crystal Palace winger, Eberechi Eze this summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old has received a lot of attention after a season in which he recorded 25 goal involvements across all competitions, including a major victory in the FA Cup final against Manchester City.
The fact that the Arsenal target has a £68 million release clause has further increased his appeal because prospective suitors are aware of the exact amount needed to acquire him.
Following recent deals with players like Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, and Cristhian Mosquera, the Gunners are now pursuing Eze.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal want to try and negotiate the fee down, in part because of the player’s age, even though the amount appears to be determined by the release clause.
Mike Arteta’s side appear unwilling to go out of their way to make the deal work, even if they like Eze as they are content with their current business, which includes a new contract for Ethan Nwaneri.
The north London team would pay £30 million now and settle the remaining £38 million over two years, according to another proposed compromise added by CaughtOffside as reported by FourFourTwo.
Arsenal are prepared to wait, even if it means giving Palace more time to find a replacement.
Other Clubs Are Still Interested In Eze
However, if they are not careful, the deal might pass them by, as Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich are all still in the running.
Reiss Nelson, a winger, is another potential option to break the impasse by lowering the amount of money the Gunners would have to pay.
