When Bukayo Saka flung his arms up in disgust after his tempting cross went unchallenged by an Arsenal player, it was evident how their Champions League semi-final second leg against Paris Saint-Germain would unfold.
The Gunners were outstanding in the first 15 minutes at Parc Des Princes but were unable to break through, with Declan Rice coming close before Gianluigi Donnarumma made two superb saves to deny Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard. PSG, however, survived the attack and quickly began firing punches of their own.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia hit the post, then Desire Doue pushed David Raya into a brilliant save before Fabian Ruiz increased PSG’s aggregate lead with a lovely left-footed shot from the edge of the box.
Arsenal continued to press for a goal that would put them back into the game, but it was Luis Enrique’s side who struck next, with Achraf Hakimi taking advantage of Thomas Partey’s lack of awareness before curling home. Just minutes before, David Raya saved a Vitinha penalty that had been awarded controversially following VAR intervention.

Saka offered Arsenal a glimmer of hope as the ball broke his way, allowing for the simplest of goals following some excellent effort and a cross from Leandro Trossard. Reported By Football London.
The Gunners’ talisman then failed to stop Riccardo Calafiori’s cross, which was missed by Donnarumma, bouncing off his foot and soaring over the bar while the goal was open.
Though the 23-year-old missed several good chances, toward the conclusion of the game, he was the one hunting for the end of balls into the box.
