Liverpool manager Arne Slot has refused to confirm the club’s reported interest in Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.
The Reds have had a £110m bid rejected for Isak, but Slot chose not to comment directly on the Swedish forward.
Instead, the Liverpool boss expressed satisfaction with his current squad, despite the looming exit of Darwin Nunez.

Nunez is close to sealing a £46m move to Al Hilal, prompting speculation over Liverpool’s next move in the transfer market.
The Reds have already spent nearly £300m this summer, with Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, and Jeremie Frimpong joining.
Despite these signings, fans are calling for a central defender to replace Jarell Quansah, who left for Bayer Leverkusen.
Slot Backs Squad Depth As Ngumoha Shines in Pre-Season
Slot insisted the club has adequate cover at centre-back with Van Dijk, Konate, and Gomez, despite Gomez’s minor injury.
The Dutchman also praised 16-year-old winger Rio Ngumoha, who has recorded three goals and two assists during pre-season.
Slot said Ngumoha, alongside Trey Nyoni, has made a promising start and could earn a role in the first team.
Ngumoha’s rise could provide Liverpool with depth while the club considers further activity in the transfer window, reports Irish News.
As Isak speculation swirls, Slot’s comments suggest patience, but Liverpool’s big-spending summer may not be over yet.
