Racing Santander are getting ready for one of the biggest nights in their recent history and everything points to an electric atmosphere at El Sardinero when Barcelona arrive for the Copa del Rey match.
Santander’s message is that if Racing are to have any chance of defeating the current Copa del Rey champions, the stadium needs to become a stronghold.
After selling nearly all of the tickets to season ticket holders, the club anticipate that El Sardinero will be entirely dominated by green and white.
According to Mundo Deportivo, this tactic was used to make the atmosphere unfriendly to Barcelona and give Racing every advantage available on the pitch.

A Sold-Out Crowd
Only 460 tickets were allotted to the Blaugrana out of the stadium’s entire capacity, therefore fans supporting the host team will theoretically occupy the remaining 21,848 seats.
There is a general consensus among Racing’s supporters that this game needs to feel different, louder, and more intense than a typical match.
Racing’s most ardent supporters have also issued cautions as a result of the togetherness.
The group has made it known that certain people have tried to resell tickets, which they believe directly jeopardizes the stand’s identity.
Consequently, the fan club released a statement outlining the repercussions for violators.
“In addition, anyone wearing any insignia of a team other than Racing, celebrating or cheering on the rival club, will be expelled from the stands.
“There are rules at La Gradona and they must be followed. Only Racing is cheered on and only Racing clothing is worn. If this is not the case, this stand is not the place for you,” they warned.
