Antony is reportedly set to end his bad spell at Manchester United as Real Betis are said to have reached an agreement in principle to re-sign the Brazil international.
United manager Ruben Amorim has ruled out the Brazilian staying at the club after quickly indicating that the 25-year-old had no part in his long-term ambition at Old Trafford.
According to The Telegraph as claimed by Goal, Betis and United have finally made progress and secured a preliminary deal to bring Antony back.

The La Liga team are believed to be trying to re-sign the Brazilian on a temporary loan agreement that will eventually become permanent.
This is a sensible step for everyone involved. While United can reduce their wage bill and move a player on £150,000 per week who is clearly out of the picture, Betis know exactly what they’re getting because they enjoyed Antony’s performance during his loan term last season.
Antony’s stint in Seville was truly remarkable. After joining the team in January, he made 26 appearances, with nine goals and five assists.
He was instrumental in Betis’ run to the Conference League final. According to reports, the former Ajax star is eager to return and is desperate to rekindle his career away from Old Trafford’s constant limelight and pressure cooker.
For months, the writing had been on the wall. With the addition of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko, United made a significant investment in offensive talent this summer, almost confirming Antony’s surplus to requirement.
The winger has essentially been on exile all summer after being cut out of the team’s preseason trip to the United States and not allowed to participate in first-team training sessions.
The only question was where and when he would leave, but it was inevitable.
