Real Betis forward Antony has confessed that his disrupted summer at Manchester United is still impacting his performances in Spain.
The Brazilian, who sealed a €22m deadline-day move back to Betis, scored his first goal of the season and provided an assist in Wednesday’s Europa League 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest.

Antony struck in the 85th minute to rescue a point for Betis after earlier setting up Cedric Bakambu’s opener.
Despite his contributions, the winger admitted he is still chasing full fitness after missing pre-season with United.
“It Was Hard for Me” – Antony Opens Up
Speaking after the match, Antony explained how United’s transfer stance left him sidelined.
“I’m a little tired because I didn’t do preseason, I didn’t train in Manchester with the team. It was hard for me,” he told ABC.
“It’s a bit difficult physically, but I feel better every day. I’m happy for the assist and the goal, but sad for the draw.”
The 25-year-old was frozen out at Old Trafford by Ruben Amorim, placed in the ‘bomb squad’ with players surplus to requirements.
That delayed his transfer back to La Liga following a successful loan spell with Betis last season, reports Sport Witness.
Still, Antony is optimistic about rediscovering his best form, crediting support from his family and Betis fans.
