Celtic have sacked manager Wilfried Nancy with immediate effect after a disastrous start to his reign at Parkhead.

The Frenchman replaced Brendan Rodgers but endured a nightmare spell, losing six of his eight matches in charge.

Defeats to Hearts, Roma, St Mirren, Dundee United and Motherwell quickly piled pressure onto the struggling Celtic boss.

Celtic confirm double exit following disastrous run of results

Alongside Nancy, Celtic have also parted company with Head of Football Operations Paul Tisdale immediately.

Tisdale had faced growing scrutiny over recruitment decisions, with several signings failing to make the desired impact this season.

The former Exeter City manager initially joined as a consultant before becoming a full-time employee in August 2024.

Celtic released an official statement confirming Nancy’s dismissal and thanking him for his efforts at the club, reports Celtic Way.

His backroom staff, including Kwame Ampadu, Jules Gueguen and Maxime Chalier, have also departed Parkhead.

The statement additionally confirmed Tisdale’s exit, acknowledging his contribution before signalling further updates to supporters soon.

Celtic now face a crucial period as they search for stability, direction and a new managerial appointment.
