Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has been told there is no chance of a future at Old Trafford, regardless of who takes over as permanent manager.
The Cameroonian moved to United in the summer of 2023 from Inter Milan for £43.9m, a record fee for a goalkeeper in the club’s history.
Since arriving, Onana’s time has been turbulent. High-profile errors and inconsistent form saw the 29-year-old regularly criticised by fans and pundits alike.

Under former manager Ruben Amorim, Onana was dropped on several occasions before being sent on loan to Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
The loan deal does not include an option to buy, meaning his long-term future at United remains uncertain.
United Insist Onana Will Be Offloaded
Despite his loan, sources insist the club has already decided to cut ties with Onana permanently. They reportedly view him as surplus to requirements and are open to a permanent transfer next summer.
Onana earns £120,000 per week at United and has two and a half years left on his contract, with the option to extend to 2029.
United insiders hope the loan could evolve into a permanent move, freeing the club from the goalkeeper’s wages and allowing them to rebuild that position, reports Team Talk
The keeper made 72 Premier League appearances for United, keeping just 18 clean sheets, and has now featured 14 times for Trabzonspor, who sit third in the Super Lig.
Transfer journalist Dean Jones stated: “Andre Onana is finished at Man Utd… there is real hope his loan becomes permanent, and a sense of relief he can now be moved on.”
