Ancelotti Speaks On Real Madrid Forward’s Brazil Chances

The current head coach of the Brazilian national team, Carlo Ancelotti, has shared his opinions about the team he is building for the 2026 World Cup.

Brazil has already qualified for the Mundial, therefore the Italian coach is utilizing this time to evaluate players and determine who will advance to the biggest competition in football.

During the Italian’s news conference, Real Madrid forward Rodrygo was mentioned.

The talented attacker is still very much in Ancelotti’s future plans, despite the fact that he hasn’t called him up since taking over.

“Obviously, memory counts. I know Rodrygo very well, and I know he can contribute a lot to the team.

“We’re evaluating around 70 players, and we’re analysing each one’s physical and tactical level to try to put together the most competitive team possible for the World Cup,” Ancelotti said as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.

Rodrygo ultimately made the decision to remain in Spain, despite spending almost all of the summer being linked to a potential departure from Real Madrid.

In order to persuade Ancelotti to take him to the World Cup, he is currently concentrating on gaining consistent playing time under Xabi Alonso.

On the other hand, Rodrygo faces a difficult task. Younger players like Luiz Henrique and Estevao Willian have come up to take his place in the national team, vying for a position in the Brazil squad.

Rodrygo needs to demonstrate his worth in both La Liga and the Champions League in order to stay in the running as the competition gets more fierce.
