Ancelotti Confirms Real Madrid Exit, Brazil Move

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti stated there is “no need for drama” and that the squad needed “fresh impetus” as he revealed his intention to leave the club.

According to the ESPN, Ancelotti also announced that he would be taking over as Brazil’s next head coach, saying he will start on May 26 when Madrid’s La Liga season ends.

The 65-year-old was hesitant to address why the club have not yet officially announced his resignation during a press conference on Tuesday before Los Blancos’ match against Real Mallorca.

“Madrid will publish a statement when they want to, there’s no problem there,” Ancelotti said.

“They’ll do it when it’s the right time for Real Madrid … [Brazil] is a big challenge, but until May 26 I’m still Madrid coach.

“I want to end the final stage of this fantastic adventure well. Out of the respect I have for this club, the fans and players, I’m totally focused.”

Despite having a contract through June 2026, Ancelotti did not specify when he realized he would be departing Madrid at the end of this season.

“What I talk about with the club is absolutely personal,” he said.

“Football, like life, is an adventure that begins and ends. When you arrive at Real Madrid, you know that one day it’s over… I want to end things well here, that’s what my professionalism demands.”
