Real Madrid has announced Jose Mourinho’s selection for a second time in command, awarding the experienced Portuguese strategist a three-year deal to guide the club into a new era. After winning the recent presidential elections, Florentino Perez wasted no time in fulfilling his major campaign pledge to bring the 63-year-old back to the Spanish capital, Reported on X.
Real Madrid have announced Mourinho’s hiring for a second time as manager, following the resignation of Alvaro Arbeloa. The 63-year-old makes a long-awaited return to the Spanish city, signing a three-year deal until 2029.

The experienced manager returns to the Spanish club following a season in charge of Benfica, who revealed on Wednesday that Madrid was prepared to pay the €15 million compensation required to release him from his contract in Portugal.
Real also announced Mourinho’s official start date, saying in a statement: “The Board of Directors of Real Madrid C. F., meeting today, Thursday, June 11, and chaired by Florentino Pérez, has agreed to appoint José Mourinho as coach of the first team for the next three seasons, until June 30, 2029.” José Mourinho will join Real Madrid on July 13, when the preseason begins.
