Marc Cucurella’s representatives are reportedly actively looking into options outside of Chelsea this summer, with Atletico Madrid emerging as a major potential club to sign the Spain international.
Sources have verified that Cucurella’s agent has started working on possible destinations after clubs throughout Europe were notified that a move away from Stamford Bridge would be conceivable during the current transfer window.
Despite a patchy stint in West London, the 27-year-old Chelsea full-back is still highly regarded, and interest in his situation is growing.
Cucurella has long been admired by both Barcelona and Real Madrid, who are still evaluating their left-back options in preparation for the upcoming campaign.

Chelsea Draw Up Three-Man Shortlist
According to sources, the club’s recruitment department has worked hard to find possible successors. Among the players the club admire internally are Eintracht Frankfurt defender, Nathaniel Brown and Andrea Cambiaso of Juventus.
Bayer Leverkusen’s Alejandro Grimaldo is another player who might still be a possibility.
Due to his stellar performance for Alonso during their time together, 30-year-old Grimaldo, who is being considered by former team Barcelona, is seen to be an ideal fit for Alonso.
