Man United Make £34m Loss On Transfer As Player Secure Permanent Departure

Manchester United have reportedly announced Rasmus Hojlund’s permanent departure from the club.

The striker has finalized his transfer to Napoli after spending last season on loan with the Italian giants.

A £38 million buyout option was part of Hojlund’s loan transfer if his team made it to the Champions League.

Napoli went on to secure their berth in the competition by finishing second in Serie A.

United made £34 million loss as a result of his departure just three years after signing the Danish international.

Hojlund signed a six-year contract at Old Trafford in 2023 after joining the club from Atalanta for £72 million.

But in 62 Premier League games with the Red Devils, he only managed 14 goals.

United Confirm Hojlund Exit

According to talkSPORT, in a statement confirming his exit, United said: “Rasmus Hojlund has joined Napoli on a permanent transfer.

“Everyone at the club would like to wish Rasmus all the very best for the future.”
