PSG Plot Move For Arsenal Target Ahead of Champions League final

Paris Saint-Germain are considering a massive deal for Julian Alvarez, with Atletico Madrid demanding a stunning €200 million price. Luis Enrique wants the Argentine to lead a new-look assault in Paris, but competition from Barcelona and Atletico’s hard attitude may complicate the transaction.

According to ElDesmarque, the Parisians are planning to compete with Barcelona for Alvarez’s signature this summer. The Argentina international has emerged as Luis Enrique’s primary offensive target as he attempts to restructure his forward line. Alvarez has had a standout season at Atletico Madrid, scoring 20 goals and giving nine assists in 49 games.

His performances have enhanced his prominence around Europe, cementing his spot on PSG’s marquee signings shortlist. Enrique reportedly wants a dynamic front three centered on the Argentine. In such setup, Alvarez would team up with Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, with Bradley Barcola and Desire Doue as rotation possibilities.

Atletico stands firm over €200 million value

Despite increased interest from around Europe, Atletico refuses to trade its top forward cheaply. The club’s administration has allegedly stated that offers below €200 million would not be entertained, and head coach Diego Simeone sees Alvarez as critical to Atletico’s long-term plans. The club made a significant investment to recruit the Manchester City forward, and he is seen as a key member of their future plans. While Barcelona admires the striker, their financial constraints make such a cost incredibly tough to justify. That leaves PSG as the most realistic candidate to match Atletico’s price.

The attention on the World Cup might delay the decision.

Any instant transfer may be delayed. Alvarez is anticipated to concentrate on international duties with the Argentina national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup before deciding on his future. Despite becoming a fan favourite in Madrid, the striker is still hunting big titles after several close calls. Atletico lost to Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey final and were ousted by Arsenal in the Champions League semi-finals.
