Premier League Club Make Moves To Sign Darwin Nunez

Darwin Nunez is reportedly set to leave Al-Hilal less than a year after joining from Liverpool.

The striker has agreed to depart the Saudi side after falling out of the squad following the arrival of Karim Benzema.

Foreign player registration rules in the Saudi Pro League reportedly forced Al-Hilal to remove Nunez from their active squad.

The Uruguayan has not featured since February and could now become a free agent if his contract is terminated.

His potential availability has immediately reignited speculation surrounding a possible return to the Premier League.

Newcastle United Revive Long-Term Interest in Nunez

Newcastle United have maintained interest in Nunez since his breakthrough period at Benfica.

The club previously explored a record-breaking move before he eventually joined Liverpool in 2022.

Despite flashes of quality at Anfield, Nunez struggled with consistency, scoring 40 goals in 143 appearances for the Reds.

Newcastle were again linked with the striker during recent transfer windows, especially after missing out on other attacking targets.

Manager Eddie Howe is believed to view Nunez as a forward capable of thriving in his tactical system, reports Chronicle Live.

If available without a transfer fee, the 26-year-old could become an attractive market opportunity for Newcastle this summer.
