At the conclusion of his loan, Marcus Rashford might return to Manchester United with the Spanish club “interested in Pedro Neto” as a backup.
Rashford, 28, has made an impression in Spain and might sign a permanent contract this summer for £26 million.
However, after getting “very positive technical reports,” Neto has become a target as the club consider whether it would be the best course of action, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Neto joined the Blues for £54 million from Wolves in 2024, but it’s unclear if they would be interested in selling him or at what price.

According to the source, Neto, 26, has been one of the Stamford Bridge club’s more reliable players, and his agent, Jorge Mendes, has a good rapport with Barcelona.
Hansi Flick is drawn to the Portuguese star’s versatility and ability to play both wings.
Rashford, on the other hand, has adapted to his new life and is eager to stay after losing favour with Ruben Amorim and seeking a new beginning. Barca president Joan Laporta reportedly wants to sign him permanently if he remains in office on March 15.
Barcelona are paying Rashford £315,000 a week this season, and United have already stated that they will not renegotiate the £26 million transfer fee.
United would struggle to reintegrate such a high earner if Rashford’s transfer to Barcelona falls through with Casemiro and Jadon Sancho set to depart in the summer.
