Real Madrid Dealt Blow As Trio Suspended Following Getafe Loss

Real Madrid’s 0-1 loss to Getafe damaged more than just their pride. It has now caused a major issue ahead of their upcoming La Liga match.

Discipline issues resulted from the frustration that followed the defeat at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Madrid will therefore be missing three players for their league game against Celta Vigo on Friday.

The most dramatic moment was when young Argentine forward Franco Mastantuono received a straight red card in the 95th minute.

He was sent off by referee Alejandro Muniz Ruiz following an exchange that was subsequently described in the official report.

Mastantuono was sent off right away after saying, “What a shame, what a f**king disgrace,” according to the statement.

Two Other Players To Miss Celta Clash

According to Madrid Universal, the disciplinary problems did not end there as Alvaro Carreras had challenged Mario Martin late just two minutes prior.

He received his fifth yellow card of the season as a consequence of the foul. This implies that he will not be authorized to travel to Vigo.

Vinicius Jr. was also given a yellow card in the same sequence for protesting and trying to pick Mario Martin up off the ground following the incident.

Also, Dean Huijsen received a booking for fouling Luis Vazquez from behind halfway through the second half.

Similar to Carreras, it was his fifth yellow card, meaning he would not be allowed to play in the next league match.

The timing couldn’t be worse for boss Alvaro Arbeloa. The depth of the squad will be put to the test against a Celta team that might be dangerous at home because three players are suspended.
