According to rumors, Real Madrid are reportedly willing to spend a large cost to recruit top Manchester United transfer target Adam Wharton from Crystal Palace this summer.
Wharton is on a four-man shortlist of midfielders that Manchester United are trying to sign in the summer, with the club hoping to add one or two more players in that position.
The former Blackburn Rovers player was in top form for Crystal Palace last season, when they won the FA Cup and finished 12th in the Premier League.
It has been a rocky few months at Selhurst Park, with a number of players expected to go in the summer and Oliver Glasner confirming his departure.

Speaking last week about the situation at Crystal Palace, Glasner said: “Many players believe they must go on, and some are thinking about where they will play next year rather than where they are playing now. This is part of success, but it is never a good situation.”
Wharton could be one player looking to leave, as sources in Spain suggest that Real Madrid is ‘now willing to spend’ €100 million (£87 million) for the Crystal Palace midfielder.
According to the report, Real Madrid’s interest is not taken lightly. In truth, it’s a player Xabi Alonso had previously asked, but the club declined. However, with the amount of strength and a dearth of quality in Real Madrid’s midfield, those at the Bernabeu believe they must go all out for a playmaker like Adam Wharton, despite his exorbitant price tag.
