Kane Responds To Barcelona Transfer Interest

Barcelona are reportedly plotting a move for a new striker this summer in an attempt to replace Robert Lewandowski.

The experienced number nine’s contract is unlikely to be extended before it expires in June, and efforts are already underway to compile a list of potential targets to pursue.

Harry Kane, who will cost €65 million, has been linked to Barcelona throughout the season. One of the finest strikers in the world, the England and Bayern Munich star might follow Lewandowski’s example by moving from Bavaria to Catalonia in his 30s.

The player has now responded to Xavier Vilajoana, the pre-candidate for Barcelona president, who has ambitions to sign Kane if he wins the election next month.

Despite being really content at Bayern, the 32-year-old has acknowledged that he doesn’t know much about the situation with the La Liga leaders, according to Diario AS.

“I haven’t heard anything. Of course, my father and brother take care of these matters, so I don’t know if they’ve heard anything.

“But they haven’t told me anything. I enjoy being here on the pitch and I’m very happy at Bayern. My focus is on this season and here at Bayern.”

It’s one thing whether he can be signed, but Barcelona must seize any opportunity to sign Kane. They might be better off pulling off the Lewandowski trick from four years ago because there aren’t many young, talented strikers in the market right now.
