Manchester United Deny Approaching Jurgen Klopp After Agent Claims Offer Was Made

Manchester United have firmly denied offering Jurgen Klopp the chance to become their next manager. Klopp’s agent, Marc Kosicke, claimed both United and Chelsea made enquiries recently.

Kosicke stated approaches occurred after Klopp departed Liverpool in 2024. The German instead accepted a role as Red Bull’s Head of Global Soccer.

According to his representative, several international roles were also discussed. Kosicke suggested England and United States positions were possibilities previously.

He also insisted Chelsea and United explored appointing the former Liverpool boss. However, the Manchester Evening News report United strongly rejected the suggestion.

Chelsea are also understood to have issued similar denials. Both clubs maintain no formal or informal approach was made.

Klopp Reiterates England Loyalty and Coaching Break

Regardless of interest, Klopp has repeatedly ruled out managing another English club. He previously declared he would never coach a rival in England.

The 58-year-old confirmed Liverpool remains his only English allegiance. Klopp recently admitted he does not miss daily coaching pressures.

He cited long training sessions and constant media duties as exhausting. The former Borussia Dortmund boss insists he feels content currently, reports Mirror.

Kosicke revealed inquiries continue despite Klopp’s public stance. Recent speculation linked him with a potential Real Madrid opportunity.

However, Klopp suggested he does not expect to return soon. For now, United’s denial closes the chapter on fresh speculation.
