PSG’s President Speaks After Real Madrid Announce The End Of Super Cup Project

Last night, Real Madrid formally ended the Super League project, which aimed to free football from the constraints of UEFA and corporate pressure, Reported By Marca News.

The ultimate nail in the coffin looked to be Barcelona’s decision to openly withdraw from the campaign and support UEFA, leaving Real Madrid as the project’s only remaining member.

As a result, Florentino Perez’s ‘dream project’ came to an end, and Real Madrid reached an agreement with UEFA and the EFC.

PSG President’s Thoughts

In a recent discussion with the media, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and EFC’s delegate on the UEFA Executive Committee discussed the development and praised Florentino Perez with the idea and initiative, regardless of how it ended.

“I applaud Florentino Perez, the elegant and clever man, the visionary who is constantly striving to expand and better everything.

“And whoever says or believes that Perez ‘lost’ today is completely ignorant and understands nothing about football,” he added.

He then announced that he was satisfied that the project had come to an end, saying.

“I feel quite proud and delighted. I’d want to thank everyone, including all parties engaged in this historic deal.”

Speaking on how UEFA constantly works to improve football and would continue to do so even after the closure of the Super League plan, the PSG president stated,

“I thank the President of UEFA, who works tirelessly every day for European football, the most intelligent and humble leader.”

Finally, he emphasized that neither club or individual had lost in this situation, shifting the blame away from Real Madrid and Florentino Perez.

“The most important thing here is that we all win; no one loses.

“Football is the winner, which is what we all wanted. “This was the goal we set for ourselves for the benefit of football and its fans,” he said.
