Newcastle United midfielder, Sandro Tonali has reportedly been added to Manchester United’s shortlist ahead of the summer transfer window.
United are looking to replace Casemiro after it was revealed that he would depart when his contract expires in June, meaning a midfield overhaul is anticipated at Old Trafford at the conclusion of the season.
In an attempt to fill the void left by Casemiro, the Red Devils are reportedly considering Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton and Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson.
Tonali is believed to be a top midfield player the team are considering, according to the Telegraph as reported by the Evening Standard.
Arsenal, Man City And Juventus Also Interested
However, given the connections to Arsenal on transfer deadline day, the report predicts that Man United would have fierce competition for the Italy international’s services.
Additionally, it is believed that Manchester City have kept an eye on Tonali’s development, and Juventus are also genuinely interested in bringing the 25-year-old back to the Serie A.
Giuseppe Riso, Tonali’s agent, has recently fueled rumours of a summer departure from Newcastle, implying that Champions League qualification is crucial.
