There are players who demand respect and those who command it; Harry Kane falls into the latter category. The Englishman is having another career-defining season, with 30 goals and four assists in 26 matches across all competitions. In addition to scoring and assisting, Kane has improved his ability deeper down the pitch, frequently commanding games with passes comparable to Andrea Pirlo’s heyday and bravely defending to Fabio Cannavaro. The captain of the ‘Three Lions’ has been outstanding in every aspect of the game.
While Kane’s effect on the football is clear, many people overlook the importance the 32-year-old striker delivers off the field—a quality that Konrad Laimer has not overlooked. The 28-year-old Austrian is fully aware of his teammate’s influence on and off the field.

“A big one,” Laimer stated (as caught by @iMiaSanMia). “First and foremost, he’s a fantastic player. Second, he’s a large character who is clearly a leader on our team and leads by example. When you have players like him who invest so much off the field, all the other players say, ‘He’s there, he’s first, he’s doing this, he’s doing that again.’ It makes it difficult to accomplish anything less.”
When Harry Kane joined for Bayern in 2023, some questioned the idea of paying €100 million for a 30-year-old striker. In retrospect, that price seems like cents. Kane has clearly exceeded his price tag in his two and a half seasons in Munich, and if things continue as they are, the best may yet be ahead.
