The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) gameweek 17 brought both excitement and anguish to majority of managers as they were rewarded with points and blanks from trusted assets.
Starting with the game at St. James’ Park where Newcastle United played out a 2-2 draw against Chelsea. Those, who kept faith in Nick Woltemade (£7.3m) were rewarded handsomely as the Germany international netted two goals to collect 13 points.
His teammate, Anthony Gordon (£7.3m), who provided the two assist also rewarded his 3.0 percent owners 10 points.
Following four successive gameweeks with massive returns, Phil Foden’s (£8.9m) haul was brought to a halt in Manchester City’s 3-0 victory over struggling West Ham United.

However, his teammate, Erling Haaland (£15.1m) plundered 16 points in the encounter following two goals, an assist and the maximum bonus points.
Morgan Rogers (£7.2m) continued from where he left off at the London Stadium as he plundered yet another double-digit haul in Aston Villa’s 2-1 win against Manchester United.
The England international scored a brace just like he did in the victory over West Ham United to claim 15 points.
After scoring in each of his last four games, Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.8m) went one further to score his first ever brace for Leeds United in their 4-1 thrashing of Crystal Palace and collected 13 points in the process.
The Englishman now has six attacking returns in five matches for the Yorkshire outfit.
Brentford ace, Keane Lewis-Potter (£4.8m) raised eyebrows following a 21-point haul in the Bees’ 2-0 win away at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 24-year-old is the gameweek’s top player of the week after he scored a brace, kept a cleansheet and claimed the three bonus points.
Hugo Ekitike (£8.9m) continues to stake his claim as one of the forwards to invest in going forward as he yet again netted a goal in Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur to collect 9 points.
The 23-year-old France international has now made it five returns in three gameweeks.
Harry Wilson (£5.8m), who is the most-transferred in player for a Gameweek in FPL history with 1,602,156 new owners recorded a blank in Fulham’s 1-0 win against Nottingham Forest.
