Thierry Henry praised Liverpool’s performance in their 1-0 Champions League win over Inter Milan but admitted one big-name summer signing is still “not at the races”.
The Reds produced a composed away display in Milan to boost their hopes of automatic qualification to the knockout rounds.
Arne Slot’s side climbed to eighth in the league phase, easing pressure after Mohamed Salah’s controversial interview.

Liverpool thought they had taken the lead earlier through Ibrahima Konaté, but his header was ruled out for handball after a long VAR check.
The match appeared destined to end goalless until another VAR intervention late on.
Henry praises Szoboszlai but questions Isak’s form
Florian Wirtz won a penalty following a foul by Alessandro Bastoni, and Dominik Szoboszlai converted the spot-kick with confidence to secure Liverpool’s fourth straight unbeaten match.
Henry hailed the display as a “proper Liverpool performance”, insisting it showed promise after a poor run of form.
The Arsenal legend called Szoboszlai “magnificent” and singled out Alexis Mac Allister for praise, but he was less convinced by record signing Alexander Isak.
“You can see he’s still not at the races in terms of playing a whole game,” Henry said on CBS Sports, reports Metro.
Isak started the match but was replaced by Wirtz with 25 minutes left. The £125m forward has struggled to find rhythm this season after missing Newcastle’s pre-season and has scored just twice so far.
Despite the victory, Slot believes Liverpool still need at least three more points from their remaining fixtures against Marseille and Qarabag to guarantee a top-eight qualification spot.
