Speaking to the media following his team’s 3-0 victory over Barcelona, Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez took jabs at the Blaugrana and its wonderkid, Lamine Yamal.
On Tuesday night, the Blues won comfortably 3-0, with goals from Estevao Willian and Liam Delap following an own goal by Jules Kounde.
Barcelona were brutally outplayed at Stamford Bridge, and things only got worse for Hansi Flick and his teammates after Ronald Araujo was sent off late in the first half.
Sanchez aims a dig
One of the most talked-about topics coming up to the game was the fight on the flanks between Barcelona offensive talent Lamine Yamal and Chelsea full-back Marc Cucurella.

And it is safe to conclude that the former La Masia player triumphed over the current crown jewel of the Barcelona academy, as Sanchez pointed out after the game.
“He’s [Cucurella] got him [Lamine] in his pocket,” Sanchez told Mundo Deportivo.
The second comment by the goalie appeared to be addressed at the Barcelona teenager, with whom he had shared a dressing room in the Spanish national team.
“Everyone is very good until they come to the Premier League,” the Spaniard explained.
Cucurella performed an excellent job of keeping Lamine quiet last night at Stamford Bridge, while also providing an offensive outlet down the left flank for Chelsea, emerging as the match’s MVP.
Meanwhile, when asked if Barcelona had been the Champions League favourites, Sanchez smiled and said: “Barça favourites?” “We are favourites.”
Sanchez’s clean sheet on Tuesday night meant that Barcelona saw their 53-game scoring streak in all competitions come to a grinding halt.
