There haven’t been many better goal scorers for Real Madrid than Karim Benzema, so it’s no surprise that the club struggled to find a replacement when he left.
Kylian Mbappe finally took up that role for the men in white, and Benzema recently shared his opinions on the World Cup winner’s adaption to Real Madrid thus far.
In a recent interview with AS, Benzema discussed Vinicius Jr. in length and even acknowledged, astonishingly, that he had not ruled out returning to Real Madrid.
Benzema talks on his comeback to the club.
The former footballer initially discussed how he was always aware of Real Madrid’s games and progress, and how he had a unique bond with the club.
“Real Madrid will always be my team. I still watch every match.”

“It’s the best club in the world, it always has been and will always be,” said the player.
He then praised Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso and the club’s current players.
“I truly enjoy the Real Madrid team. It’s a team with a lot of promise, and I believe they can achieve more than they are achieving now.”
Elaborating on the attention around Real Madrid’s two setbacks this season instead of the plaudits around the excellent start, he added,
“There’s a lot of discussion about them, but it’s always been like this. If they draw or lose, it is a crisis.
“They go from being the best team in the world to questioning the coach, this player or that player.”
On potential return, and Vinicius
When asked if a return to Real Madrid was possible, the player unexpectedly did not rule it out.
“Will Real Madrid return? If Florentino is still around, that could happen. I talk to him, and it is POSSIBLE.”
“I am a Madridista. I can feel it in my soul. Madrid is still my city. “We’ll see what happens,” he said.
The former Real Madrid superstar then discussed Vinicius Jr and what he knew about the Brazilian’s mentality and abilities.
