Man United are reportedly ready to let Jadon Sancho leave for free next summer, five years after paying £73 million for him.
The winger, currently on loan at Aston Villa, has struggled to revive his career following a series of disappointing seasons at Old Trafford.
United have the option to trigger a 12-month extension in his contract but are unwilling to do so due to his huge wages.

Sancho earns around £200,000 per week, and the club no longer wants to commit to paying those wages if no buyer is found.
According to TalkSport, United would prefer to cut their losses and allow him to walk away at the end of the season.
United Refuse to Pay Wages for Another Year
The England international has been frozen out since clashing publicly with former boss Erik ten Hag last year.
Despite a change in management under Ruben Amorim, Sancho remains out of the picture.
The 24-year-old has spent the last three seasons out on loan — at Chelsea, Roma, and now Aston Villa — but has failed to re-establish himself.
At Villa, Sancho has made just three Premier League appearances, totalling only 69 minutes of action, reports Mirror.
United’s decision marks one of their most expensive transfer flops, with Sancho’s value having plummeted since his £73m move from Borussia Dortmund.
Unless he rediscovers form quickly, his Old Trafford career appears to be over.
