During the investigation, it was also revealed that another man in his 20s had allegedly been blackmailed and threatened by the same suspect.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either of the incidents, according to the police.
Authorities are continuing to gather evidence to determine the full circumstances surrounding the threats made against the 22-year-old Italy international.
Udogie, who has become a key part of Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham side, has not publicly commented on the situation, reports Indpendent.
The defender is expected to remain focused on football as police carry on with their inquiries into the serious allegations.
