Barcelona Push For Cut-Price Deal To Keep Marcus Rashford

Barcelona are reportedly ready to make their final move to keep Marcus Rashford at the club beyond this season.

The England forward joined Barça on loan from Manchester United last summer after being told he was not in new boss Ruben Amorim’s plans.

Despite financial constraints, the Catalan side struck a deal that saw both clubs share Rashford’s salary, finalising his La Liga registration just before the deadline.

After a slow start in Spain, Rashford has rediscovered his form under Hansi Flick, recording three goals and four assists across all competitions, reports Sporting News.

The 27-year-old is now Barcelona’s top contributor in goal involvements this season, earning rave reviews from Flick, who described his performances as “unbelievable.”

Barça Seek Lower Fee in Rashford Negotiations

Barcelona initially agreed a non-binding £30m ($40m) clause to make Rashford’s move permanent next summer.

However, according to Estadio Deportivo, the club now hopes to negotiate a reduced fee closer to £26m ($35m).

United, eager to cash in before Rashford’s contract expires in 2027, are open to discussions to offload him permanently.

With Robert Lewandowski’s future uncertain, Flick views Rashford as a key part of Barcelona’s long-term attacking plans — provided both clubs can strike a deal.
