Liverpool ‘Learn’ Alexander Isak Transfer Condition Following Huge Newcastle United Deal

Liverpool now apparently understands what it would take for Newcastle United to consider selling Alexander Isak. The Reds have been strongly connected with a move for the striker, whom they have long admired.

Arne Slot’s side has already had one deal for the Sweden international rebuffed, with Newcastle putting down a £110 million offer. However, Isak’s future remains uncertain, and with Callum Wilson having left this summer, Newcastle are hoping to recruit at least one new forward before the September 1 deadline.

Brentford is reportedly requesting £40 million for Yoane Wissa, one of the players they are interested in. A new construction may have an impact on both Newcastle and Liverpool’s ambitions.

Despite signing Dango Ouattara over the weekend, Brentford are preventing Wissa from moving to Newcastle, according to talkSPORT. Brentford are reportedly wanting £60 million for Wissa, a 50% increase on their previous asking price.

Ouattara is widely seen as Bryan Mbeumo’s long-term successor, therefore Brentford must now find a replacement for Wissa. The decision has infuriated the footballer, who has unfollowed Brentford on social media, changed his profile picture, and erased any club-related information from his Instagram account.

Wissa was reportedly told he could go for £26 million after staying last season following Ivan Toney’s transfer to Al-Ahli.

If the transaction falls through, it might have an impact on Isak’s future transfer to Anfield. According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle would not allow the trade until they can sign two new strikers, which they have failed to do this summer.

The Magpies have already lost Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Hugo Ekitike, and Benjamin Sesko to Premier League rivals, but the quest for more players continues.
